“I wish to express my full support for all Arab physicians in Israel”
Statement by the Chairman of the Israel Medical Association, Prof. Zion Hagai
The Israeli healthcare system is a beacon of equality, tolerance, and coexistence, and the Israeli Medical Association will do everything in its power to preserve it as such.
Allegations of purported inappropriate conduct by members of medical staff must always be investigated with the utmost seriousness. I was therefore very pleased to hear that the management of Rambam Medical Center examined the claims made in recent days against medical teams from the Arab community and, fortunately, found them to be entirely without basis.
I have great respect for my colleagues at Rambam and wish to express my full support for all Arab physicians in Israel, as well as all Arab healthcare workers, who are full partners in strengthening both Israel’s healthcare system and Israeli society.
