    Congratulations to Prof. Moshe Phillip on receiving an honorary doctorate from Ben Gurion University.

    According to a statement from Ben-Gurion University's website, the degree is awarded:

    "As a token of appreciation for his deep dedication to scientific excellence, and for his contribution to expanding the boundaries of human knowledge and improving the quality of life of tens of thousands of children and adolescents in Israel and around the world. He is an outstanding physician and a brilliant scientist whose research in the field of endocrinology has led to breakthroughs in the treatment of childhood diabetes and a revolution in the care of children with growth disorders."

    The reasons for his selection highlight his scientific achievements:

    "Prof. Phillip is a gifted and highly influential scientist, whose numerous research and applied achievements — including the development of an artificial pancreas, an early diagnostic test for type 1 diabetes in infants, artificial systems for automatic insulin delivery, and additional projects under his leadership — have led to an unprecedented revolution in the treatment of children with diabetes and growth disorders."
