The position of the Israel Medical Association as formulated in 2005 by a committee headed by Prof. Reches following draft legislation submitted on the issue of organ transplants and donations. To avoid conflict of interest the committee was comprised of doctors from a wide range of specialties involved directly or indirectly in organ transplants and donations, as well as doctors not involved in transplants.
