Freshwater injuries often pose diagnostic challenges due to occult entry wounds and the risk of infection from environmental pathogens. We report a rare case of an embedded live-derived (biologic) foreign body, Theodoxus jordani, in the hand after rafting trauma on the Jordan River, emphasizing early imaging, prompt extraction, and environment-appropriate antimicrobial coverage.
