2017 Grants Ceremony

Once again this year, on June 7th, the Israeli Medical Association World Fellowship hosted a scholarship ceremony attended by IMA leadership, grantees and their families and representatives from other hospitals and organizations who have donated funds. The scholarships, in the amount of 16,000 NIS each, were funded by the Israeli Medical Association, the Organization of Clalit physicians, the Organization of State Employee Physicians, Rambam Medical Center, Sheba Medical Center, the Sheba Medical Center Physicians’ Committee.

The World Fellowship Grants Committee convened to evaluate prospective candidates. There was a plethora of exceptionally qualified applicants and the committee members, comprised of Dr. Zeev Feldman, Dr. Yaron Sacher, Dr. Ehud Miron and Dr. Yakov Shina took great care in identifying the most suitable candidates. After much deliberation scholarships were granted to 12 doctors who have been accepted to fellowship positions worldwide. These physicians return to Israel and share their professional knowledge and what’s more they serve as emissaries of the State of Israel while abroad.

The grants presented in memory of deceased physicians, add another dimension to an already meaningful tradition. Invited speakers eulogize the physicians and loved ones are invited to attend.
