During the whole period of the Palestinian uprising our Australian friends headed by Prof.
Schrieber, Dr. Ronald Sweet as well as other members were very supportive towards us by
sending mails regularly.

The Austrian Chapter is willing to host the Annual Executive Board Meeting that will be held on
Sunday, 12 May. We shall appreciate your input and or suggestions for this meeting.Details

The physician of the year award 2001 was given to Prof. Dr. Jos? Pinus, for his remarkable
humanitarian and professional contribution to the Jewish Community in Brazil.

| BELGIUM |
| The Belgian Chapter
donated 500 Euros for a scholarship grant to be given to an Israeli fellow. Prof. Mahler, former
Chairmen, is warmly welcomed after being absent for some time. Hopefully together with Dr. Lipschutz,
the current Chairman, the chapter will revive its activities and new and young members will be
attracted to join the chapter.

| Dr. Alberto Kopec,
Chairman, of the local chapter, visited Israel. He is currently involved in creating Telemedicine &
Telehealth projects in South America. By creating these projects hopefully many Jewish doctors will
become new members.

Israelien de Medecine et de Biotechnologie that was held in Paris on 8 - 10 December 2001, was very
successful.
