Promotional Activities

The adjacent library center of the World Fellowship
For many years, the library center has provided medical books and publications from abroad to many medical libraries in Israel. The office prepared a list of books and publications that were in demand by libraries, and recruited the help of the foreign chapters in acquiring them. Connections with several publishing houses, specializing in medical books and journals, resulted in an annual ] contribution of many previous editions of publications, and their shipment by the World Fellowship to Israeli hospital units and libraries in Israel.

   International Conventions in Israel
The World Fellowship organized numerous seminars for the purpose of exchange of medical information between foreign members and their Israeli colleagues. The seminars focused on various topics and medical fields, and hosted well-known experts from abroad and from Israel.

   Grant/Scholarship Project for Israeli physicians
For many years, wealthier chapters of the World Fellowship contributed scholarships for continued studies of Israeli physicians abroad. The scholarship project is one of the most well-known and most respected programs of the World Fellowship, and it enabled hundreds of doctors to continue their studies abroad. Upon their return, these doctors have contributed their knowledge to enhance the level of medical and scientific services in their various employing institutions. The scholarships are awarded at an annual ceremony, to outstanding physicians, in the presence of leaders of the Israel Medical Association, respectable foreign guests, the recipients’ families, and the donating families.

   Medical Research
The World Fellowship has contributed tens of research grants in various research fields to Israeli researchers, in appreciation of their excellence in research, or to support research projects. The grants are contributed by foreign members, on an individual basis, or as a collaborative effort of districts, and are distributed at events such as the scholarship award ceremonies, or during international conventions of the World Fellowship.
